As a Mercyhurst lacrosse player, this week is a dynamic balance between my academics and off-season training. This week, I have had the opportunity to allow my free time to prepare for my upcoming finals. Understanding the balance between school, practice, and training requires a lot of discipline and understanding of time management. The discipline and time management shaped me into a student and athlete at Mercyhurst. Being a student-athlete has allowed me to develop many essential skills relayed in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. In the classroom, I have absorbed many lessons that extend beyond the lacrosse field. During my last post, I mentioned how things finally were on the up-swing. That really leads to where I am today as a junior undergraduate student. When people ask me if I'm happy with my decision to transfer, I always tell them that I'm not necessarily happy but where I'm supposed to be. I have been honest about my feelings from the very beginning, I am not uber-passionate about Mercyhurst. School spirit does not ooze from me; there are pros and cons to every university. I recognize and give more credit to individual professors and educators for making me the man I am. I mentioned one of these professor (Professor Sheridan) in my previous post . Other people at Mercyhurst that I have found helpful are Dr. Hoffman , Col. Correa , and Dr. Duvenage , just to name a few.
